Every Child Needs a Garden

A garden connects a child to the essential source of good health. Healthy food is grown in healthy soil. If a child eats processed food grown in soil devoid of nutrient value, super charged with petrochemical fertilizer they have little chance to achieve full health. One only needs to check key children's health indicators. It is clear children are under threat. You choose the indicator; look up the statistics for childhood asthma - autism - obesity - cardiovascular disease ..... the message is clear. Whatever we are doing as a society we need to stop and ask ourselves where can we make the needed changes to prevent further declines in our children's health? One clarion answer rings true "Every Child Needs a Garden" -- NOW more than ever before in human history.
